Halloween on the Serenade

Hey guys,

 

Here is my review, we are a family of three, My daughter celebrated her 17th birthday while on board.

 

We left Denver on Fri, the day before sailing, we stayed at the Whyndham Old San Juan, don't do it! It was under renovation, EVERYTHING was closed, including conciere,pool, workout room, so much for meals.

We boarded at 12noon, we were eating in the Windjammer at 12:15, in our cabin by 1pm. I upgraded our cabin to 1550, a grand suite, a surprise to my family, that they were and it was an awsome cabin!

We visited the conciere room each night, and did we enjoy Maritza, you guys were so right, she is awsome!

Each port was awsome, we did tours on St Thomas and Antigua, hit the beach on the rest of the ports.

We had a table of 7, was alot of fun, my daughter was highly embarrassed when the birthday thing happened, our waiters were AJ and Eugan, Turkey and Chili, they were hilarious. To me, the food was great, anytime I don't have to cook and clean up is good! Our travel agent sent a gift cert for the 3 of us to go to chops, WOW, that is worth every penny! I really can't complain about any of the food.

 

Our cabin, 1550, was very large, plenty for 3 people, bar area, large closets, lot's of cabinet space, deck is pretty good,2 longes, 2 chairs, a small table, larger than I thought it would be, bathroom is great, 2 sinks, and large tub but it is high off the ground, so be careful,there was shampoo, cond, gel, cotton balls, chapstick, a bunch of cool br things, our attendant was brand new, but did a great job.

 

I have no negative thoughts on this trip, the ship is really beautiful. We had late seating, was nice to have the quiet time after a busy day. RCCL does a great job on your M&M party, enjoy it.

We spent 2 nights at the Caribe Hilton, the beach is wonderful, the rooms, well, I have seen nicer, again we did the executive level, they serve a nice layout, cont break, evening snacks,evening deserts, it was nice to have the time to rest after a busy cruise.

Can't wait until Feb for the next.

My biggest recomendation is get with your cruise buddies, we became very close and it made our trip! Hope to do more with this group..

Thanks for the comments and info. We are looking forward to being on the Serenade in Jan.

Did anyone take the triip in Barbados "bar and beach hopping"? We are thinking of doing that so we can get an idea of the beaches but would like to hear if it is worth it. Also, did you hear of anyone who took the St Barts excursion from St Maarten? I would love to know if it was worth the $.

Glad to hear that the food was good-I feel the same way you do-if I didn't have to cook or clean up-it's great!

How was the entertainment? Anyone win at the casino?

Can you tell us a little more about what you did in each port?

What beaches did you go to and what tours did you do?

I am going on the Serenade on 11/27 and can't wait. We were thinking about doing Orient Beach in St. Marteen, did you go there?

I'd love to hear all about the ports!!!
