motorhome parking?

Recommended Posts

Hello! We will be cruising on the Mariner next January. As we are coming from New York, we will be driving our motorhome down. Can anyone tell me if you can park a motorhome at the Port Canaveral parking garage? Also, anyone know of any campgrounds in Cocoa Beach?

Thanks in advance!

I don't think you can get it in the parking garage, probably too high, but you can park it in the gated area beside the garage. thedrunkrock is correct in that fees are based on length $10 per day for vehicles up to 20 ft in length and $20 if over 20 feet. For campgrounds, go to http://www.floridacamping.com/campgrounds/

There is a little known secret with some Florida counties. They often have county parks that are not well known or advertised. Some even have overnight camping. Check out some of the counties near Cocoa Beach. Good luck!

Here is a link to some of the camping areas around Port Canaveral. There are lots of smaller places in the area that aren't listed. I would suggest Jetty Park, but they book way in advance, so I'd check it out ASAP. January is big time "snow bird" season. Alot of people book a year or more in advance.

Sorry for the delay. This is the latest info from the Port Canaveral web site. This park is right on the water and you can see the ships at the Port. It has a very nice beach with year round life guard stands. If you need any more info let me know.
