ruff Posted December 27, 2008 #1 Share Posted December 27, 2008 I am sure this has been discussed somewhere but I missed it. Can anyone tell me how the balcony doors lock? Are the locks high enough so that children cannot reach them to open? I am most concerned about the balconies on the Miracle. Thanks.
cruzkitty Posted December 27, 2008 #2 Share Posted December 27, 2008 I don't know about the Miracle, but the balcony locks on the Spirit last month, no way a child could open them!! They were hard to unlock and lock, I really don't think a child could unlock them.

Cruise Cat Posted December 27, 2008 #5 Share Posted December 27, 2008 As long as you don't slam it you should be fine. Some newer ships (some of RCCLs) the whol handle is the lock (you flip it 180 degrees)

Our balcony cabin had two locks. A deadbolt below the door knob, and a sliding bolt at about 6 ft high.
serene56 Posted December 27, 2008 #7 Share Posted December 27, 2008 Lets not even mention how heavy these doors are to open. I have a hard time with opening them---cant imagine a child trying
