Hotel in Fort Lauderdale

If you stay in a hotel like Pier 66 Hyatt there are water taxi's that take you to many fun places. This is a wonderful way to see the water side of Ft Lauderdale and the famous homes. Close to beaches, port and on the intercoastal.

Thanks for the feedback. Good to know from a "Floridian" that the hotel is in a good area and I made the right choice. Now, if you come to Boston, I can point you in the right direction anytime. :>

We used Hotwire.com and got the Hyatt Place for about 100 dollars. It includes breakfast, free transfer airport-hotel, then hotel-port. However, I've heard there are always a TON of cruise passengers wanting to use the hotel's transport to port. Taxi for us, most likely. However, a great deal.

Great price, taxi is your best bet, direct to the port, no stopping at every terminal until you get to yours with the shuttle.
