St. Thomas or St. Martin?

Hi!

We want to do some snorkeling possibly some scuba diving on our cruise. We could go in either St. Thomas or St. Martin. Which one is better? Is there anywhere we should/ should not go? Are there any good groups to go with?

St. Thomas is generally a better option than St. Maarten. Try Coki Beach on St. Thomas.

We just came back from a cruise which included both. St. Thomas was pretty good. St. Martin was awful.

Do your snorkeling in St.Thomas (or, better yet, from there to St.John) and have a great beach day in St.Martin! :D

Agreed, St. Thomas is much better. Secret Harbor, Coki Beach, and Saphire are three to check out. I like Coki, but unfortuantely not when the cruise ships are in (no offense) as it tends to get crowded. It does have the best snorkeling, and the dive operation is right ther at a trailer on the beach. Check around the right of the big rocks toward the aquarium and we usually see squid in that area. You have to look close. St Thomas, it's the best.
