Louise45 Posted December 31, 2008 #1 Share Posted December 31, 2008 I called Pearl Harbor to ask the price and size of the lockers to make sure my backpack would fit. I was shocked when I was told there are no lockers! They only have a storage area and everything is put together, with 2 or 3 employees watching it at all times. Does this sound right? Has anyone seen or experienced this?

For more information on visiting Pearl Harbor, you might want to check out this link -- http://www.nps.gov/usar/ If you use an escorted, fee-based tour service, they may have an attended bus for you to use to leave your things while touring PH. Be aware even if you are using a tour company, if your tour includes going to Ford Island (USS Missouri or Pacific Aviation Museum) you'll still have to check-in your baggage. We have military ID but because we were on a tour my wife had to check in her hip pack. If we had rented a car we would have been able to drive onto with whatever we had brought with us. Are you sure? We have been told that access to Ford Island is restricted even for active military, unless they have been given specific permission to drive over for a military reason. We've not heard that active duty military can drive over just to visit the Missouri or the PAM. beachchick
