Inexpensive breakfast in Auckland

Can anyone recommend good inexpensive places to breakfast, lunch, dinner in Auckland? We have 2 days pre-stay before our cruise.

We had a post Cruise layover in Auckland prior to our flight.

A few of us walked over to a Dennys and had Lunch.

Remember the exchange rate.

If you plan to go to the top of the Sky Tower, book a meal in the restaurant. The meal includes entrance into the Sky Tower. For a just a few extra dollars we had a great brunch with a terrific view of the ship. We were there shortly before Christmas so we also had the bonus of seeing Santa at the top.

The exchange rate is a valid point. As it is currently - any meal is probably a bargain. thanks for your suggestion

I like this idea - thanks for the suggestion - our ship won't be there yet but views are probably still worth it.

We're staying at the Langham with the ships reservation (only because we were on cruise air and to keep price & fly in early we had to do their hotel) We have included a full buffet breakast that is supposed to be one of the best in Auckland, know with online checking of Hotel ,lists it at $30 plus pp (about $18us). We're there Sunday morn. which is supposed to be a really great buffet?? Perhaps your hotel also has similar amenities?:)

There are acually two restaurants at the top of the Sky Tower. Orbit is more expensive and is "fine dining". The Observatory is a buffet and more moderately priced.

Monday-Friday there are numerous cafes open for breakfast / brunch / lunch in the downtown area where the cruise terminal is. The city is quieter at weekends, but take a ferry over to Devonport or a bus to Parnell or St Heliers for week-end cafe meals.
