money in Marrakech

Can you use euros when shopping in Marrakech? I'm assuming that some of the smaller shops will not take a credit card. Thanks, Sue

We payed in euro. Just be carfeul not to hand over to much money as it is possible that ypu receive change in local currency!

we paid in euro and us$ for a rug (and paid WAY too much:rolleyes:) but it was all part of the experience. I look at it every time I go into our living room and am suddenly back on that wonderful holiday

 

I agree about paying as close to amount as possible as you will get change in moroccan currency. they'll do the conversion for you and will from our experience give you a very good rate too
