would appreciate any snorkel advice for Cozumel, Belize, Costa Maya, Nassau

My husband and I will be cruising in 3 wks, heading to Cozumel, Belize, Costa Maya, and Nassau. We love to snorkel, have our own equipment. Wondering which stops would have the best snorkeling. Book through cruise ship (Carnival Glory) or private? We are looking for smaller groups, done the huge catamaran drop you off ontop of each other snorkel trip before and not interested in that again.

 

I have read good things about Stuart Cove in Nassau but will not be in port long enough (9-4). What about Coral Breeze in Belize?

 

Any info and suggestions would be much appreciated!!!!

I can't speak to the other ports, but in Cozumel, I would avoid any organized tour and rent a car or jeep. Cozumel is very developed and easy to drive around. We had a good experience at Punta Sur, the state park at the southwest end of the island. That way you can stay as long as you want, then stop anywhere you want for lunch and drinks etc.
