Tangocherie Posted January 4, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 4, 2009 I would have liked to spend a day on the Las Gatas beach while in Zihuatanejo. However my DW is worried about what to do with our personnal belongings if the two of us go into the water together. She's afraid our "stuff" (camera, credit cards and so on) would get stolen. Are there any suggestions for safekeeping our things on this beach? :)
mytime53 Posted January 4, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 4, 2009 We usually just talk to someone else on the beach and take turns watching each other's stuff.

bmacri Posted January 12, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 12, 2009 Cruisecritic sells a "beach safe" right on this site. At the top of this page is a tab for Store. We've used their beach safe several times for snorkeling. I keep my SS card and a copy of my passport in it while snorkeling. I wear it all the time and it's very waterproof. My camera I just leave in my towel on the beach. I've never experienced any problems. I'm thinking if there is a problem it won't be with the locals.
