Place to buy water at/nearby FLL?

Hi,

 

We're cruising on NOS January 8th and I wondering if there is any place in or near the FLL airport where I can pick up a case of water. We're planning on taking a cab to the port, but I'll have an hour to kill at the airport while waiting for my friends to arrive on a later flight, so I was hoping to pick up what I needed while I wait.

 

Any suggestions?

The cab can take you to a place on the way. It should be a very quick stop.

Hi Bongo/Pam,

 

We are on the NOS on Jan 8, too! There is a very lively roll call thread going on that board. The Cruise Critic group plans to meet at the pool bar after the muster drill. We are still having some "discussion" about whether the pool deck or deck above would be a better spot to gather. In any event, we plan to wear Mardi Gras beads to recognize each other, so we shouldn't be hard to find.

 

I think we will also try to make a stop for bottled water before entering the pier area. Reports of yellow/brown water on NOS have me a little grossed out!

This is a very last minute trip, so I haven't checked out the roll call yet, but I'll go there now.

The road from the airport to the port is all highway, so there are no places to stop for bottled water. To get water, you could go north on S. Federal Hwy and will run into a CVS at the corner of SE 17th St. on your right, about a mile from I-595. From there, ask the driver to take you to the port through the Eisenhower Blvd. entrance, off of SE 17th St. The lines are always much shorter there anyway.
