Debarkation questions in FLL

There will be 9 of us travelling together. Would we be better off reserving a shuttle for after the cruise to the airport or taking a cab. We are flying home 2 different airlines.

 

If the shuttle is the best option... what time should we schedule it for? Our fligts don't leave til around 2pm and we will not be self-debarking since we won't be in a hurry.

 

Also - can anyone recommend a good shuttle company to use for 9 people and give me an estimate of cost.

Assuming your cruising out of Port Everglades, it would be a waste of money to arrange for a shuttle to Ft Lauderdale airport (it's only 2.5 miles, 10 minute ride at the most). A couple of cabs ($12-$15 each including tip for the cab ride, not per person) will easily handle your group.

Thanks for the info. I was concerned since people have been saying that cabs are not easy to find when getting off the ship. We were planning on that til the recent posts.

Cabs are a dime a dozen you won't have any problems.

Find a couple of porters to help you with the luggage, and they'll walk you right to the cabs.
