I actually do not. I do have a student in College and so I am aware of that week.

The big 2010 calender is not out yet,but here's 2009s so you get an idea.Just add a year and its the same. http://www.tripsmarter.com/panamacity/springbreak/sbcalendar.htm

Steve

I think we realize its around spring break time but it also might allow others with kids to be able to travel easier. Airfare - eh - its a toss up. I was looking at some past travel docs and my air to MIA from CLT direct in March of 2006 was almost the same as my air from CLT to Cancun for this year in May (the low travel season). Plus with the economy in the crapper I think you will start noticing some major differences in airfare. Again I sailed the Jewel March 12-18 in 2006 and there was literally a handful - maybe 15 at most - well behaved college kids on the ship. I think college kids tend to go on the cheaper cruises - like 5 days to the Bahamas.

Steve - do you have any other suggestions for dates? Would you be interested in the group trip if we went another week?

I guess we can let a Duke Fan in - I mean we allow everyone to make mistakes every once in a while!:D;) Im a die hard Tarheel fan!

You do realize, of course, that the Duke/Carolina game will be that weekend? LOL! We may have to find out if there's a sports bar on board that might show ESPN. j/k

(Yes, I had the Duke/Carolina game on in the hotel bar during my wedding, and to this day, my DH never fails to rmind me about how he had to go find me and bring me back to the ballroom so the waitstaff would serve the main course. Who knew that they won't serve if the bride isn't there???)

I had not realized it would be that weekend, but even more reason to sail then so we can talk smack to each other. Do you live in NC? Im in Charlotte.

My cousin, a die hard Tarheel, is marrying a dookie....I think she has lost her mind!

Depends on how my upcoming sail on the Jewel goes. I have already sailed the Jewel before and it was nice,so we will see if its nice again.I am also interested in Pricing and how quick it becomes available as I have $2000 in NCL mastercard certificates left to redeem.:)

As far as other dates....its tough as regular schools break in February and April in parts of the country and in the south they get only 1 week around the end of March as a rule.I know,I have a high schooler as well and we have sailed during those weeks and it can be roudy. My College student is looking to cruise during the break in 2010 with a group of friends and I don't want to be on the same ship as them.

Hi Steve - Unfortunately, that is not up to me to decide. CC gets the quotes/pricing from different agencies and decides who they will use. Right now I am booked on a Carnival CC group cruise sailing next month and that is through CruCon. So far I have not had any serious issues with them. Carnival, however, STILL has not loaded their shore excursions - VERY frustrating!

Well then I want to be your child! There is no way I could have afforded THIS cruise in college...maybe a 4 nighter to the Bahamas, but not this one. Are you interested in adopting a 32 year old with a husband? You could be a grandfather to the cutest 6 month old ever :D

She pays for everything herself. She even has a decent job and a car which she saved up for and paid in cash for.A little Maita.

When we go as a family, I pay.:)

Hi Luvmygoldens - Cute photo! I'm a dog lover too - have 2 Labs:)

I've requested pricing from CC for Feb and March weeks. According to the pricing on NCL's website, Feb 21st, 28th and March 7th sailings are all the same price. I got an auto-response email back that she is out of the office on vacation and will respond ASAP. It also said that there is no more availability for group cruises in Jan or April 2010, so I guess it is a good thing that we are shooting for Feb or March!!:D
