Whale watching

Does anyone have any suggestions for the whale watching excursion in Dominica? Does it get cold out on the water? Should we bring binoculars? Are tennis shoes needed or water shoes? Not sure what to expect. Thanks!

We went whale watching through a Princess tour on Dominica. The boat/tour guide is actually Anchorage tours. It's very warm (least it was in December), binoculars wouldn't hurt-wish we'd remembered ours, and once we got on the boat they asked all of us to take our shoes off. Hope that helps!:)
