MechTeach Posted January 9, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 9, 2009 I feel like a real dunce with this question, but every cruise that we've previously booked has been within ~60 days of sailing before, so this has never come up. (I tried google and searching the boards as well, but I think I don't have the right search terms.) I'm looking into booking a 14-day South America itinerary for Dec. 2009. Since this is so far in advance, there's always the possibility that we might need to cancel as the trip gets closer. NCL's cancellation penalties are described here: http://www.ncl.com/nclweb/cruiser/cmsPages.html?pageId=IndivTermsConditions#cancellation For the "Cruise Days: 10 days or more" entry it says that for 90-76 days (Holiday Only), the cancellation penalty is the deposit. If I cancel more than 90 days in advance, do I still lose the deposit, or is everything refunded (that's what I would guess, but I want to make sure)? Thanks! calmac Posted January 9, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 9, 2009 If you cancel more than 90 days prior to your cruise your deposit will be refunded in total.
NoPiratesPlease Posted January 9, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 9, 2009 Unless you are in something like a Courtyard or Garden Villa or the equivalent. Then they burn you for your money. They want non-refundable early payment on those...
MechTeach Posted January 9, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted January 9, 2009 Excellent - this makes everything a lot easier to decide. Thank you both very much!
