Luckysll Posted January 16, 2009 #77 Share Posted January 16, 2009 I forgot to mention that when I was over on the Alaska boards I saw a thread that started on Dec 13 2007 for the Sept 2, 2009 sailing on the Spirit. So, maybe they open up sooner some years than I thought..... Funny you should mention THAT roll call.....it's the one I started! :D And, yes, it did open up that early. I was specifically waiting for that sailing as I'm taking my daughter, son-in-law, 2 grandchildren and a couple of friends with me that cruise (thanks to a BIG casino win!). I'm surprised the 2010 Alaska sailings haven't opened up yet, too. I don't think it will be much longer before they do.
tbtma Posted January 16, 2009 #78 Share Posted January 16, 2009 Hi kelly we may also be interested, it would probably be one cabin for hubby and myself. Hopefully we can get prices soon. Bonnie

Luckysll Posted January 17, 2009 #85 Share Posted January 17, 2009 Kelly - I just spoke with my PVP at Carnival this a.m. and while I was talking asked her if the pricing for Alaska 2010 was out yet and it isn't. What dates did you settle on for this cruise?

The 2009 RT Vancouver dates are September 2 and 9th. I hope it is the same in 2010 and the earliest date would be my choice....

dafuser Posted January 18, 2009 #90 Share Posted January 18, 2009
Would anyone be interested in a CC Group Cruise to Alaska on The Carnival Spirit? I was thinking maybe July or August 2010 .. We have cruised Alaska twice now..First time was a Southbound cruise and the second was a R/T out of Vancouver..I think the one way cruise gives you more port time and is the better cruise..The ports of call would be Whittier,Sitka, Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan and Vancouver with a glacial sailing of College Fjord and sailing the inside passage...The nice thing about a NB or SB cruise is your port time in Juneau..It allows you enough time to cruise Tracy Arm Via small boat that will you take right up close to the face of Sawyer Glacier...Someing only 25% of the large cruise ships are able to do.. If we did a R/T the ports of call would be Vancouver, Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan and Glacier Bay. This itinerary is nice but the weather is not the greatest that time of year(Sept).. SOOOOOOO...anyone interested??..Come on..Alot of you have talked about seeing Alaska..You know you all want to go..:) Kelly
You can add my DW and me to the list. My DW has wanted to take the Alaska cruise for a long time, but I'm more into the Caribbean with the clear warm water and beaches. :D She's waited a long time, so this will make her day.
