waid10 Posted January 12, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 12, 2009 Hi. I am sailing on the NCL Sky in early March. What time will boarding begin? What time should I get to the Port to be early on to the ship? My last cruise was in 2004 and I arrived to the port in Fort Lauderdale early (thanks to advice from the Cruise Critic message boards) and was in the first 100 or so passengers to board. I was sipping drinks and having lunch while the next 3000 people stood in line boarding. I just can't remember the timing of everything. Thanks. Nickymjw1 Posted January 12, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 12, 2009 If your ship is leaving at 4pm you can probably start boarding around 11:30am
Dukegirl5577 Posted January 12, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 12, 2009 My confirmation from NCL says that we leave at 5 and that check-in begins at noon. I, too, would like to know the ideal time to arrive at the port. I'm getting to Miami the night before, so I can basically get there at any time that morning. Don Haynes Posted January 12, 2009 #5 Share Posted January 12, 2009 Around 12 Noon, if not a bit before. You won't get aboard sooner.
cliffd64 Posted January 12, 2009 #6 Share Posted January 12, 2009 In December, we arrived at about 10:30 AM, which was a tad early, but were seated in the waiting area by 11:30 with keycard in hand, and on the ship in the first batch of latitudes members by 12:00... We used the wait time in the terminal to get to know some nice people waiting with us :)
