which airport closer?

We cruised Monarch from San Pedro twice last year. [well, technically 3, but the second two were B2B]. In June we flew into LAX. In October, we flew into JW because [as cruiserbryce recommended] we got an amazing deal [at least compared to LAX]. JW was fine as an airport. We flew in the night before and there are many hotels and restaurants in the area. The super shuttle to and from JW and the San Pedro cruise terminal was reasonable, so flight cost would be the driving factor for me. Just keep in mind the shuttles have to be reserved in advance for the smaller airports -- at LAX they are there as part of regular routine.
