stacycs Posted January 13, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 13, 2009 Hi, I am trying to decide between deck 3 and deck 4, outside room, on the Tahitian. Deck 4 is right under the casino and lounge so I thought it might be noisy. However, deck 3 is so low, I am wondering if it is right over the engines and might be worse. I go to sleep fairly early and like it pretty quiet. Any advice? thanks, Stacy
Druke I Posted January 13, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 13, 2009 We've been on Deck 4 of Tahitian Princess's sister ships, Oceania's Regatta and Nautica, and found the cabins to be very quiet. We were on Deck 6 on another of her sisters, Pacific Princess, and that was quiet also.

The casino is mainly in the center area; most of the area above the deck 4 cabins is open deck. Cabins on deck 4 have full picture windows while those on the 3rd deck only have portholes. I would definitely choose deck 4 instead of deck 3.
California Native Posted January 15, 2009 #5 Share Posted January 15, 2009 I would check where on Deck 4 is the medical center compared to your cabin choice Many cabins are nearby and there's only a few chairs in the medical center so it spills into the hallway... every time you leave your cabin, you could hit a cloud of germs
cbowler Posted September 10, 2009 #6 Share Posted September 10, 2009 Hi - I'm reviving this thread in hopes of more info. I'm trying to decide between deck 3 (cat F) and deck 4 (cat E). I understand deck 3 only has portholes for the windows. But, the cabins available for deck 4 are the connection room cabins, and thus don't have sofas, correct? I'm thinking a sofa is more useful than a full window? Anyone have picutres of either category??? I hate stressing over little decisions like this but just can't seem to help it! Thanks! Pam in CA Posted September 10, 2009 #7 Share Posted September 10, 2009 I was on deck 4 on the Royal Princess, sister ship to the Tahitian. I LOVED the location; it was convenient to everything and very quiet. Here are a couple of photos of my cabin:
cbowler Posted September 10, 2009 #8 Share Posted September 10, 2009 We're leaning towards the deck 4, connecting room with no sofa. Does anyone know if there is at least a chair instead of the sofa? Or is it simply just the connecting room's door?
