Coconut drinks....

I know this is silly. Is there anywhere, where you can get a chair on the beach and enjoy drinks from a coconut? I know it is a silly question.

Thanks for this tip!! What is a must try food in Progreso that I need to try. I love fish esp, is there a certain fish dish that I need to try??

Le Saint Bonnet's whole deep fried snapper or hawk fish. Great. This from someone not a great fish lover.

You can get your coconut drink at most of the beachside or front restaurants. Sometimes called Coco Loco, they are coconut water (the actual liquid in the coconut, highly nutritious!) mixed with rum or vodka. Very refreshing.

 

As for food, like dawson says, the whole fried fish is very tasty. Order "pescado frito" and you will get the whole, cleaned, lightly salted and deep fried fish, head and all. Excellent! You pay for the fish according to it's size.
