Cheap but decent hotel in Vancouver?

Recommended Posts

I'm traveling solo, and want to spend 2 or 3 nights in Vancouver before my cruise. I don't have a lot of requirements for my hotel, just that it be a clean and safe place to lay my head, and not too far from the sights and/or the port. Any suggestions?

You don't mention what time of the year that you will be in Vancouver- in the high season June to Sept you are unlikely to find anything in the downtown core for under $100.00 - places like the Ramada, Days Inn or Comfort Inn are in the lower price range but will still likely cost over $100.00

The downtown core is quite compact so you are never too far from access to most of our attractions - if you are arriving after mid-June there is a free hop on hop off shuttle bus that will take you around Stanley Park which is a short walk from downtown.

You might want to check out Tourism Vancouver's web site for some ideas on where to stay:

Hope this helps

Cheers

Believe it or not, the YWCA in Vancouver has an amazing facility, right downtown, only a couple of blocks from the cruise terminal. It certainly fits all of your needs, clean, safe, near the sights and port
