BobandBrenda Posted January 15, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 15, 2009 Has anyone used the Megallan Noise Reduction Headphones for flights? They are at 1/2 price right now and I ordered them. I just wanted to know if anyone had any experience with them. Also anybody know when British Airways usually give discounts? We have our flights booked but Im looking for upgrade discount pricing. Thanks Brenda

anval37 Posted January 19, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 19, 2009 British Airways usually discounts tkts in this time of the year to the end of March. Sometimes depending on the requests they have, you can find a cheaper rate even in April or May but just in certain days...
descal13 Posted January 19, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 19, 2009 We forgot our usual headphones - real cheap things, and there was a screaming child waiting with us to get on the flight so my husband was freaking out, certain the child would be right behind us on the plane. He went to an airport shop and purchased the Magellan noise reduction headphones - he probably paid 10 times what he would have if not in the airport. I do have to say they were amazing. We watched a few DVDs on the flight with excellent sound and later I used them in the seat outlets to watch the seatback video. You couldn't hear the sound of the engines, and although the child was seated behind some else praise God, other ambient noise was greatly reduced, too. garycarla Posted January 21, 2009 #5 Share Posted January 21, 2009 We have used a few different NR phones. They all pretty much work nice unless you are very particular about your sound. For us average folks, go for small and light for carrying purposes.
