The Wai o tapu Winter Wonderland tour organised by P&O is fully booked. We have identified 2 tour operators based at Taurang who will organise a similar tour but the cost is excessive unless there are at least 4 people. There is a "standard tour to Te Puia, but this does not have the rave reviews received for Wai o tapu.

 

Does anyone know of a tour operator who will take just 1 couple to this attraction at a reasonable cost, or even better, is anyone else like us on a waiting list waiting for an unlikely cancellation and would wish to make up a group?

 

Our additional problem is the short time left to book as we leave for San Francisco on 22/01 If anyone is interested can they advise how we reach an aggreement how to book with no email addresses available (not used this forum before) We can give details of the tour operators who should be able to coordinate bookings if this is helpful.

Have you tried Carlton Tours? They do tours for two or more persons, Option 2 goes to Wai O Tapu, and they seem to have good reviews on the Australia/New Zealand forum or have your thought about hiring a car and driving yourself? We are renting from Pegasus and driving up to Wai o Tapu to see the sights in February.
