ilmsg Posted January 16, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 16, 2009 I've been reading through posts for days now about all the different beaches at Mahuahaul. Most of the places I see people talking about a party atmosphere and games and stuff at the beaches/restaurants. Where to go if you want a quiet place with none of that stuff? crmc Posted January 17, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 17, 2009 We were there New Year's Day, and the beach area seemed rather quiet. We took the bus there and then just walked up and down the beach and picked a spot that looked good. Someone walked out and said there was no charge for chairs. We had a couple of beers and did some snorkeling. The only thing we didn't like about the spot we picked was that there were jet skis and boats going in and out, so you may want to watch out for that. The beach was very nice, and we would've stayed longer, but some wind and rain started blowing up.

I was there before the hurricane, but back then at least you just kept heading south. The bars and people thin out and you've got palm trees, sand and water. Gingee Posted January 21, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 21, 2009 We just walked until we finally found a good looking spot on the beach. No party atmosphere that we saw on the first full week in January.
PrairieWinterCruiser Posted February 2, 2009 #5 Share Posted February 2, 2009 Crmc, was the snorkelling pretty good just walking off the beach?
