beachbabie393 Posted January 16, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 16, 2009 Royal Caribbean has a cruise in March out of Colon, Panama. I've having an EXTREMELY difficult time finding any airlines that go to Colon. All I can find go to Panama City, which I map-quested and is about an hour away. Anyone know how to get to this cruise port by plane?
phoenix1181 Posted January 16, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 16, 2009 Not all cruise ports have airports. You probably have to fly into Panama City and take ground transportation to the port.
DanJ Posted January 16, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 16, 2009 I guess RCI wants to have a cruise where the people couldn't possible be more thankful than to finally get on their ship LOL. There is an airport not to far from the port in Colon, airport code is ONX, and the info box on Google Earth says it has commercial service to Panama City, but I have no idea what airline goes there. There is bus and train service that goes between the 2 cities and is probably more cost effective and just as good a trip as the small commuter planes that fly there. alcpa1 Posted January 17, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 17, 2009 You basically fly from the US to Panama City [PTY] and take transportation to Colon. We are taking this cruise in reverse and that is the only option we could find. The drive time seems to be about an hour.
