delaney71 Posted January 16, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 16, 2009 Has anyone hired a private guide in Vigo to take them on a day trip to Santiago de Compostala? Any ideas of tour guides/companies would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
CruisinSolstice Posted January 20, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 20, 2009 Hi - We used Travelswithfriends.com in 4 ports during our Mediterranean cruise in August, 2007. We had great experiences in all 4 ports which were Athens, Santorini, Villefranche and Barcelona. We are planning to use them again this summer for Vigo and Lisbon. Good luck. wildcats40 Posted July 10, 2010 #3 Share Posted July 10, 2010 We accompanied another couple for a guided tour while at port in Vigo. Go to Brenden's web site http://guidedgalicia.blogspot.com/ and see what options he has. He did an excellent job showing us Santiago de Compostela and some seaside villages. He was knowledgable and flexible with what we wanted to see. He met us close to the dock and was waiting on us when we arrived.
redhead701 Posted September 24, 2011 #4 Share Posted September 24, 2011 We (a group of 13) hired Brendan Lowe (guidedgalicia@yahoo.com) for a day tour when our ship was docked in Vigo. Brendan is TERRIFIC. We went to Santiago de Compostela and he gave us a great tour of the cathedral and the city (with all the markets, etc). Then we had a lovely, casual lunch at the seaside town of Cambados. Then he took us to a family-owned winery for a tour and tasting. A great day. I recommend him highly. 2theship Posted October 1, 2011 #5 Share Posted October 1, 2011 I echo the positive comments about Brendan. We had a delightful day with him last year.
