Braemar 24 May 2009 Baltic

Great Danes

Recommended Posts

Having travelled with Fred Olsen before :), decided on this cruise as it spends 3 days in St Petersburg. No other cruise line offers this length of stay. We have friends who always travel on bigger ships and laugh at us chosing a smaller ship. Can anyone advise us on how the Braemar is now, after all the renovations, we travelled a few years ago on her and was very comfortable but worried about blogs that have been posted on this site. Comments would be much appreciated. Anyone else booked on this cruise date?

Found this review which is quite informative. We are travelling on the Braemar in March and have concerns about where we'll put our suitcases! Booked a 'G' cabin size which is smaller than we had last year on Thomson Emerald.

We'd liked that ship as it was quite small - personally, I don't fancy one with 15 decks and 7 restaurants, that's why we picked FO (& because of the itinerary obviously). Not 100% confident about it though, reviews mediocre but we feel we got a reasonable deal on the price so we'll see.
