onboard credit

Got a $200 onboard credit for allowing Disney to change my room assignment. Anyone know what it can be used for? Excursions, tips, etc? Thanks

You can use it for anything purchased onboard including your tips, drinks, excursions, gifts, photos, etc.

 

I was asked to change also and was offered $300 but it was a change to a balcony room with the white metal wall rather than plexiglass. They later offered a plexi balcony that was similar to the one I had and gave me $50 onboard. I think they were after my connecting room which I didn't need.

 

If it weren't for having a young child, I would have taken the first offer but I didn't want to have to lift my son to see from the balcony.

you can also use it at the stores, bars, or rental spots on castaway cay.

Matt, that is the room they are moving me to, with the metal wall. They gave me a $499.50 credit back on my credit card and a $200 onboard credit. For $700 I will stand to look at the ocean. Thanks everyone for the help.

its a credit applied against the balance of the on board account...so essentially anything

Thanks a good deal! They only offered me $200 then $300 onboard credit. I would have probably given it more consideration for $700. Let us know about the white wall balcony.

I found this funny because I am trying to book the white walled balcony for our May 2010 cruise! My husband loves it because of the privacy and so much bigger! We can't get it!! They are all gone! And here people were offered MONEY to 'take' them!!!

One sure way is depending on whom you book thru, you could be offered credit. Past that, not sure.

Hello, Do any of you know how Disney refunds the fuel charges?

We payed for our March 2009 cruise in November when they were still adding on charges for this. Our TA wasn't sure if they will give us an onboard credit when we board?

If you rebook onboard for cats 1 - 11 you get an onboard credit. If you book with certain TA's, or transfer your ressie to a TA they offer OBC. The amounts vary depending on the TA. You can only transfer a reservation if it isn't paid in full.
