cyberrat67 Posted November 15, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 15, 2004 I'm leaving on the 3rd...but it hasn't "hit me" yet...I'm not NEARLY as excited as I was last year... what's WRONG with me?
sue d. miller Posted November 15, 2004 #2 Share Posted November 15, 2004 Actually, I felt the same way before my cruise 3 weeks ago!! It took me forever to get packed and I am usually ready months before. Once I was out of the driveway, I got excited, and the cruise was awesome!!! :)
cyberrat67 Posted November 15, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted November 15, 2004 well, I'm mostly packed already...rather than put my summer clothes away, I just packed them...*grin*...I just can't seem to get "into" it this time...I'm sure the cruise will be as awesome or more so than the last one... Druke I Posted November 15, 2004 #4 Share Posted November 15, 2004 Have had the same "not excited" feeling on occasion, but it rapidly changes when I see the ship!! But the biggest thrill is when they blow the horn (whistle) and back into the channel!

Clipper Posted November 15, 2004 #6 Share Posted November 15, 2004 We leave on the Grand on the 11th and I'm in the same boat (pun intended). I am sure I'll have a great time once it all gets underway.
spongerob Posted November 15, 2004 #7 Share Posted November 15, 2004 I always go through a stint of pre-cruise blues. I don't know why, but there is always a period of a couple of weeks when I feel that I'm abandoning my work and other responsibilities. That feeling always goes away when we pull out of the driveway. Discount-Eyewear Posted November 15, 2004 #8 Share Posted November 15, 2004 I had this same feeling before leave a couple weeks ago. The few days before the trip it started to grow. The night before I was very excited and on the way to the ship I was at the peak. Dont worry it will hit you.

Eddie4Paws Posted November 16, 2004 #11 Share Posted November 16, 2004 I leave on 12/2, and I was more excited when I booked back in April. But I do know, that on the morning of the 2nd, I will be excited. My heart will flutter when I see Port Everglades, pound when I get into the Princess terminal, and hopefully not go into cardiac arrest when I get onto the ship! :D
Julia’s Journey’s Posted November 16, 2004 #12 Share Posted November 16, 2004 I feel the same at times, I think it is the thought of so much to do before the day arrives.
bjboothman Posted November 16, 2004 #13 Share Posted November 16, 2004 cyberrat - Not sure why you are excited, but I'm on the Dawn the week after you and CAN'T WAIT. I've been counting the days since June.
