best location to view space shuttle, less busy..?

I am going on a cruise on Feb 12th, from Port Canaveral..same day as the launch...I want to have a good view, but not be stuck in traffic leaving location and driving to the port and be late to board....anyone have any suggestions for location closest to port, that won't be horrendous traffic, parking, getting away etc?

Would I get a good view, feel the "rumble" if I just went to the beach area? thanks.
