All things caribbean princess - southern caribbean

Hey all,

Thought I'd start a thread that talked about the caribbean princess and the the southern caribbean. I'll be sailing Princess for the first time, have been on 3 Carnival cruises in the past. I'll be going on the March 1st sailing.. very excited. Just wanted to discuss a few things, maybe ask a few questions. We will be going out of San Juan, Pan American Pier I think, so I have read on all the posts. We pull out of the pier at 11. Does anyone know that latest one will be able to check in? Im guesing maybe 8 oclock or so.. Hows the liquor store situation there.. I have been reading it is after the check in point for luggage. Do they sell cases of beer here also? I was hoping to purchase some either there and try and sneak it on board.

 

Lets go to the islands for a little. First stop Barbados. Wanted to check out accra beach.. anyone with any past experiences here? I hear getting a cab could be troublesome. Then off to St. Lucia. I was thinking about doing the Cosol tour, as I read on these boards it is great, but may just want to go to a beach and relax with a brew, any suggestions here? Then off to Antigua, i was thinking either dickerson beach or runaway bay, any opinions, or maybe another beach here? In Tortula (spelling?), I was reading about the baths, and I think I am set on going there, goo choice? Finally st. thomas, where I have been before. I went to trunk bay and it was awesome, was thinking about checking out Megan Bay this time around, any other great spots here anyone knows about?

 

Back to the boat.. hows the casino? I've read its a decent size.. any poker games on board? (besides 3 card poker). How are the bars/discos on board? Anyone have any favorites? We are scheduled to get back to san juan at 6am, whats the earliest flight we could catch? My friend suggested an 830 flight, and I told him he was nuts. I was thinking 1030 was pushing it, but do you think that possible? Thanks for any and all input! hope to hear from some that will also be going on this ship!
