What's open Thanksgiving

Friends of ours are going to be in St. Thomas Thanksgiving day. What should they expect to be open/closed that day?

Just looked at their itinerary. They're in St. Thomas the day before Thanksgiving.

Havensight shops will be open regular hours. Stores downtown will be open although a few of the smaller ones might open half day or close. Taxis will be available. Ferry schdules should be double checked; like the Water Island ferry that has a special holiday schedule. Government run sites like Fort Christian will be closed as will banks, post offices, schools etc. Some restaurants will be closed; so if you had a special one in mind you might call to check their hours.
