Cruisecrtic helped me a lot in planning for my first cruise. My cruise experiance will not be as fun without all the information posted here. Thanks everyone, and here is my review. Feel free to ask any question.

Girlfriend and I were on the Legend Jan 4-11 09. This is our first cruise experience, it was amazing and I'll definitely cruse with Carnival again.

Embarkation was very easy. We were at the port at around 11:00am, and are on the ship at around 11:45am.

The ship is beautiful, there are a few places where it shows some wear, but generally it was well very well kept. We enjoy every part of the ship interior and took a lot of pictures.

Our Cabin is at deck 8 under the Lido deck around the unicorn pool area. The room was kept very clean, they'll service the room twice a day and girlfriend loves the towel animals. It was big enough with a small balcony and there is no smell of smoke at all. I didn't get a good sleep at the first night, because at around 6:00am I got woke up by the noise where the crew member upstairs are setting up chairs around the pool area. Good news is that the noise problem only bothers me on the first night. For the rest of the 6 days, I had too much fun during the day and was too tired to be able to hear anything at night.

Food at the dinning room is great. The waiters at the dinning room provide excellent service; they call us by our name after the first dinner service. They also remember to bring our cappuccino to us every night after dinner. Went to the buffet for breakfast, lunch and sometimes dinner when we cannot make it to the dinning room, the food is good as well, it provide something for everyone. The sushi bar was just ok, not the best sushi there.

For entertainment on the ship. We watch every main show, they are good and entertaining, I like the welcome aboard show on the first sea day and the Legend show on last sea day. We also spend time in the Casino, gym and hot tub, no problem with any of those. The indoor hot tub in the Spa area is nice and hot, the outdoor hot tubs can get chilly when using at night. Didn't go to any of the bar, so can't comment on that.

Ports: In Grand Cayman. We did the stingray city and snorkeling tour with Moby Dick. I was expecting a small crowd, but it turn out there is about 50 people, enough to get a whole school bus full. But the experience is still very nice. We saw a big eel at the reef and everybody has a chance to hold, feed and kiss the stingray. I would recommend to go with them.

Cozumel was our least favorite port, still nice, just our least favorite out of the 4. Mainly because we did the Jeep adventure at Puta Sur with Carnival. It was an ok excursion. 4 people per jeep, we're peering up with another couple. They first take you to Chankanaab park to snorkel. The snorkeling wasn't very good at all, a lot of fish, but only a few species. Reef is not very beautiful as well. They also take us to see a small Ruin, Crocodiles, and lighthouse. All interesting to see, but we only get 10 minutes to stop at each place. Mexican style lunch is complimentary with the tour. However, it is not very good at all, they only have Nachos and some chicken and beef wrap and that's about it.

In Belize, we did the cave tubing and ATV tour with cavetubing.com. They are very good people, they work really hard to make sure we have fun during the whole tour. We did the ATV first for about 45 minutes, the road is bumpy and it was very muddy. The tour guide runs around to make sure none of us get stuck, and will help push you out if you do get stuck, we had a lot fun. Then we went to do the cave tubing, the water is a little bit cold and the river is flowing very slowly, we have ourselves hooked up like a chain and our tour guide pull us through the cave the whole time. I was expecting a faster flowing and more intense experience, it turn out to be a slow float, but we still have a very good time.

In Roatan, we went to Tabayana beach tour with Carnival. The beach was beautiful with a lot of sunshine. There is a beautiful reef right out from the beach, we did an hour of snorkeling, best snorkeling site of the whole trip. After that we just sit and enjoy the sunshine.

Few concern to drop this ship from a 5+ to a 5:

1) Hot tub is not hot enough. Get a bit chilly when using the outdoor ones at night.

2) Way too many people trying to stop you to take pictures.
