Cruising Nutter Posted May 3, 2009 #51 Share Posted May 3, 2009 Have to take issue with the poster who says P&O would know of an aircraft maintenance check. There is no way that P&O will know what the airline is doing. I flew for 16 years for a major airline. Certainly our Travel Agents and cruiselines would be totally unaware of when the maintenance schedules are - total rubbish. Beg to differ not only did the crew advise us that the plane had been booked in for some time when I check with Monarch they confirmed they had told P&O, plus some people on board had been advised of the flight change and decided to change to scheduled flights at extra costs - so in this instance P&O did know what was happending but didn't bother to tell anyone till they got to the airport. Agian hiding behind their booking conditions.
