Leaving Feb 22 on Carnival Valor- What is the earliest you can board the ship? I have never been able to get there before 2 or 3 in the afternoon because of flights before, this time we are coming a day early so will be able to board earlier. I didn't think you could even get on the ship until after lunch?? Silly me!

We have boarded as early as 11:30 a.m. Gives you time to have lunch in the buffet or maybe one of the dining rooms depending on the ship, walk around or sit by the pool, have a drink or whatever and then go on to your cabin once it's open. I love arriving early.

The last 3 Carnival Cruises I've been on, out of 3 differnt ports (Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, & Tampa) I was on the ship before noon. I've never waited more than a half hour in line to get checked in. It's great to get on the ship that early, eat, drink, explore, and drink some more so you're tipsy before sailing!!!

Our last cruise on Oosterdam out of San Diego we got to the pier about 10:30. It was just a short wait till they started allowing people to check in, but then there was a wait in the terminal until they would allow you on the ship. We were in a suite so waited with the other suite guests in a different area. When they opened up for boarding they allowed the Penthouse people to board first, followed by the suite passengers.

Once on board we were escorted to the Neptune lounge where we could have munchies and meet the staff. When we left there to go to the lido for lunch, it was starting to fill up with other passengers.
