BBigfoot613 Posted January 25, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 25, 2009 I know you CAN prepay tips but it's not required. If you don't they take it from you S&S on the 1st full day onboard. That was what I experienced on my first cruise. Now for my second cruise I'm prepaying just to get it out of the way. The any time dining I believe is offered but only on select ships. Best I can tell you with that one.

baseball921 Posted January 25, 2009 #5 Share Posted January 25, 2009 You can prepay grats, but it is only required that you do so on a Cruise to Nowhere. Also, Carnival is testing anytime dining, but it's only available on two ships, Liberty and Legend. They say they may roll it out fleetwide, but so far, just a rumor. ~Kristie edited to fix ship names
LHP Posted January 26, 2009 #6 Share Posted January 26, 2009 Yes, you can prepay your tips when you pay for your cruise. We do this all the time. Your TA or PVP can take care of that for you.
Bermuda C Posted January 26, 2009 #7 Share Posted January 26, 2009 Just returned Saturday on the Glory. The gratuity was already booked to our S&S account when we checked in. Carnival does "Reverse Gratuity". No more envelopes to worry with, except for the Matire D. (sp?) The gratuity amount is $10 per person per day regardless of age. You can go to the Purser's desk and adjust it up or down depending on the service you receive.
