Two from Virginia Posted January 26, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 26, 2009 We are trying to decide whether to book a tour with Chilkoot or with Dyea Dave. If you toured with CHilkoot, which tour did you book? Has anyone booked with Skagway Sightseeing http://www.southeasttours.com/faq_skagway_ak_tour_sightseeing_compare.html
neecee23 Posted January 26, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 26, 2009 We booked the 3.5 hour rail/bus to Fraser with Chilkoot. Very professional and great company to deal with. Picked us up at the dock and delivered us to the train. The driver dropped us off in town for shopping. We enjoyed riding in a small bus with about 11 passengers on the way down, got a chance to ask questions and stop for photos.

Is it worth the extra $
Yukon Posted January 26, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 26, 2009 Have you been to Emerald Lake? Is it worth the extra $ Yes it is worth it - the change in scenery is dramatic, with lakes everywhere and even a little desert with huge dunes and all. The prize, though, is Emerald Lake - http://www.explorenorth.com/library/roads/images/3481-emerald_lake-pan.html
