cruzin2paradise Posted November 17, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 17, 2004 Just curious, what is the most amount of people actually signed up for a Meet and Mingle and what is the most amount of people to actually show up for the Meet and Mingle? :D
VickiVSN Posted November 17, 2004 #2 Share Posted November 17, 2004 I'd give the show up rate about 50%. But a lot is going to depend on the activity on your roll-call. It always helps to arrange your own thing before hand because sometimes the ships parties will be at an inconvenient time or notice might not reach all members in a timely matter. debbie1008 Posted November 17, 2004 #3 Share Posted November 17, 2004 On my cruise out of Baltimore, Md this past May we had 50+ sign up and about 30 folks showed up! Great turn out IMO!!
hstrybuf Posted November 17, 2004 #4 Share Posted November 17, 2004 We had almost 70 signed up for our M&M on the Navigator. My guess is we had at least 50% or more show up.
Alexis Posted November 17, 2004 #5 Share Posted November 17, 2004 We were given our date and time for the Meet and Mingle on the Empress, Dec. 6 cruise.. We dock in St. Maarten at 10:00 am, Dec. 7, and they scheduled the party for 11:30 am. There is no one from our roll call so far who will be attending it. Most have tours or other arrangements already planned. We sent 5 emails to request a time change to RCCL and we were turned down by RCCL as "no, there can be no change". We have decided to try and hold our own Meet and Mingle at 5:00 pm, Dec. 7, as we sail from St. Maarten. So far that is the popular time on our Roll Call. RCCL seems to be planning these parties at the worst possible times on some of the cruises. It is a shame to talk to people for a year and then find out that the Meet and Mingle is scheduled at an impossible time for a lot of the people to attend. jacksgaga Posted November 17, 2004 #6 Share Posted November 17, 2004 Just back from Panama Canal on the Radiance. Our M&M was attended by almost everyone on our board. Probably at least 95%. We also had met on embarcation day by the pool and almost everyone showed up. This was a great group and we had a lot of fun together. We met as a group two more times during the cruise. drhallmah Posted November 17, 2004 #7 Share Posted November 17, 2004 M&M's scheduled on Port days don't seem to work. Our cruise leaves on Sunday, Monday is a Sea day. M&M is scheduled for 11:30am Monday, I think most will be there. And some will be looking for each other at sail-away!
lvcruiser Posted November 17, 2004 #8 Share Posted November 17, 2004 On our 10/23 NOS sailing, we had 43 people sign up for the M&M and 42 showed up. A pretty good percentage if you ask me, but then, we had a pretty tight knit roll call group who got together for a sailaway party at the Sky Bar and went on shore excursions together. masterbaker Posted November 17, 2004 #9 Share Posted November 17, 2004 I've found that the roll call board is a pretty good indicator of how the meet will be once onboard. If the roll call is really active and people get to know each other before the cruise, there tends to be a larger percentage of people show up for the meet. We've also had higher percentages show up when we have all scheduled a meet before the "official" m&m. Sometimes the m&m is just scheduled at a time that conflicts with other activities and nothing can be done to improve the % of those that will go. Your group can always vote on a time and place that works out best for the majority for an unofficial m&m.
