Rare tetleytea Posted February 12, 2009 #26 Share Posted February 12, 2009 The last time I tried to rent Hertz in Seward, to say it was pricey was an understatement. $65 a day I consider pricey (that's what I got in Anchorage). Hertz wanted $180 a day!! No thank you, I'll just call the cab 18 times a day.

Just booked it a few weeks ago directly with the Seward office. It's a compact but that is all that I need to get around for the day.
kenish Posted February 13, 2009 #28 Share Posted February 13, 2009 We spent a morning in Seward after our ship docked there. The docks and RR station are at one end of the city, with Sea Life Center at the other end. We walked the whole distance in about 30 minutes each way at a very leisurely "touristy" pace. The small boat harbor and downtown are along the way. It would have been a waste to rent a car.
