Zanndam for kids??

We are thinking of booking a cruise in may and taking the kids, ages 5 and 9. Is this ship a good one for them. We have never cruised on Holland before and wondered if it would be a good thing for them.

I took my boys, ages 10 and 13 last June to Alaska. Port excursions were great. Cruise itself was geared toward the very old who tend to be less patient with children and there werent a lot on the ship. Comparatively, Celebrity Galaxy in August to the Med was so much fun that the guys complained about taking the excursions.

We're taking our two, almost 5 and 8, on the Westerdam to Alaska this weekend. I'll be sure to let you know!!! :)
