Help ! To many dive choices

I am taking 14 day Cribbean cruise, leaving 2/26/09, advanced diver.

 

Ports are San Juan, St Thomas, St Kitts, Dominica, Barbados, St Lucia, Guadeloupe, St Maarten and Tortola.

Reading other posts it looks like Dominica for sure ! Just want to get the most and best diving out of this trip.

I have done alot of diving in Cozumel, Roatan, Grand Caymen, Belize, but haven"t been over this part of the Caribbean. Also, I usually use an independent dive operator verses ship excursion.

I'd appreciate all the suggestions I can get.

Thanks for the info.. what I"m really trying to find out is .. which are the Best ports to choose for my dives... say if I had to choose only 4 or 5..

My five choices would be:

 

St Kitts, Dominica, Barbados, St Lucia, and Tortola

 

All offer great dives and variety.

would be Dominica, St. Kitts and Barbados.

 

For Dominica, if you port in Roseau, go with Karen at Nature Island Dive http://www.natureislanddive.com. If you port in Cabrits, go with Helen at Cabrits Dive Center http://www.cabritsdive.com. They are both great, and the diving is awesome.

 

On St. Kitts, we dive with Kenneth's Dive Center. http://www.kennethsdivecenter.com/ Their website has been having trouble lately, so the best way to contact them is directly by E-mail at kdcsk@yahoo.com. We'll be down there in about a month!

 

On Barbados, we dive with John Moore at Dive Barbados http://www.divebarbados.net. At the moment, he is working with The Dive Shop Ltd. http://www.divebds.com/staff.php

 

We dove St. Lucia on the shorex with Scuba St. Lucia, and were unimpressed, particularly with the outrageous price demanded. We spent most of the day being shuttled around on a bus and on boats, spent an inordinate amount of time doing mandatory (!) pre-dive skills, and they did not want to let us eat lunch because we didn't bring dry clothes. NEVER AGAIN. If you search this board, you will find a couple of other ops - I think Dive Fair Helen and Island Divers if I remember correctly.
