Paradise Beach versus Chankanaab

We have been to Chankanaab and loved it but thinking of trying Paradise Beach this year.

 

Has anyone done both and have a preference?

 

Can you snorkel at Paradise?

 

Sounds like they have the food, beach, atmosphere, and everything else we are looking for.

You can snorkel anywhere there is water. Is the snorkeling there as good as Chankanaab? Not from what I've heard.

Do they serve alcohol on the beach? (may sound like a dumb question, but it is a national park so we weren't sure) If so, how are the prices?

Snorkeling from the beach at any beach resort is not going to be as good as going out to the reefs.

 

However, CP has the best beach snorkeling because they built their own area to do this. And while you do not have to be a super strong swimmer...one word of (I hate to use the word caution...because that is to strong)... "interest" is that at times....being a "stronger" swimmer does help.

 

Paradise Beach has beach snorkeling....and while not as good as CP...it is fine considering all the other water/land toys and amenities that comes with that $10.00 wristband.

Yes, they serve alcohol. I think it is illegal NOT TO in Cozumel... LOL
