cruiseray1 Posted January 29, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2009 Cancelled Oasis for February school vacation 2010 and booked Adventure for the same week. For the same two balconys and one inside Oasis was $9,600 while AOS is $4.500. $5000+ LESS....Decided I'll wait until Allure comes out. Hey. gotta be flexible in this economy..but still wanna cruise once a year. Has anybody been on Adventure? How was the crew? and the food? tuliplvr Posted January 29, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 29, 2009 I haven't been on AOS yet but there are some current threads going on in which people LOVE AOS!
jeh4554 Posted January 29, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 29, 2009 We are booked for this March also because the price was unbeatable. I am attaching a link here from a CC member that just finished a week on the Adventure of the Seas. He is a good writer and does a fantastic job of describing everything from the amenities of the ship to some very interesting excursions. Here it is: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=906789&highlight=buyreallylow
Rare xpcdoojk Posted January 29, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 29, 2009 Thanks for sharing. :D Seriously, didn't you notice it was more expensive when you booked it. It is hardly a secret that Oasis sailings are quite a bit more expensive for the same sailings as the rest of the fleet. jc
elkdude Posted January 30, 2009 #5 Share Posted January 30, 2009 We cruised on AOS in June 2004; and it was fantastic. We did Aruba/Curacao/St. Martin/St. Thomas itinerary - had awesome weather, great service. Loved it so much, we are sailing again this June on AOS (Barbados route this time) for out 20th anniversary. We did Explorer out of NY in 2006 and it was just as nice - love the Voyager class. Book it ... you will have a great time.
patnolen Posted January 30, 2009 #6 Share Posted January 30, 2009 We loved the AOS, we've sailed her twice and would do it more if it wasn't for having to fly. We're luck to be near PC and are spoiled!
