Trip Cancellation Question

If both parties in the cabin take out trip cancellation insurance and one needs to cancel for health reasons, can you substitute another person for the one who can't travel?

Just pay the name change fee and have them give the one who is not going the money for the cruise.Insurance does not come into play then.Otherwise, insurance pays and you get the room to yourself.

Now if you want to beat the insurance, then book this 3rd peron as a 3rd person at the 3rd rate, then have other one cancel.:D

Not without that person having to pay as well. If the person who is sick cancels and puts in for a refund either part from the cruisline whatever that might be and or part from the insurance, assuming it was a covered illness then a new person would still have to pay for the trip. If the ill person just dropped out and you substituted a different person you could do that for a change fee I believe but there would be no compensation to the ill person.
