shops on shore/free raffles/drawings

in a lot of the shops in ports there is almost always a box for a free drawing for whatever. and oftentimes mentioned on ship at shopping seminars,etc. and of course we always fall for it and run ourselves silly trying to find said shops to enter the drawing question is???????do you know anybody who has actually won anything? just curious

I won a bottle of Escada perfume in a St. Thomas jewelry store giveaway. (Don't remember which store.) The friend that was with me won a watch in the same drawing. You had to be present to win and there were only about 25 people there. Just a matter of luck, being in the right place at the right time. It can happen, but as you said you can really drive yourself crazy trying to find the places in time.
