We went on a Carnival cruise in 2004 and the only thing that was different than any other night was a little dancing and champange in the theatre. So what is formal night on RC like? It is not too terribly different than other nights. Often the Meet the Captain reception is on one of the formal nights prior to dinner. Also the food in the main dining rooms seems to be a bit better on formal nights. Otherwise there is not a lot of difference. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

This is our 12th cruise, but the first on this class of ship so I am really excited. I am also excited about trying ice skating again.
