mariemorgan Posted February 15, 2009 #101 Share Posted February 15, 2009 I'm a first time cruiser so forgive me for being naive, but does this mean that it's a cheese sampler!?! and i don't have to suffer through trying to pick just one?! haha do they serve it with any sort of bread? i love the option of a cheese course in place of a sweet dessert! Here's a picture I found from it. I don't know when this picture was taken
TimeYet? Posted February 15, 2009 #102 Share Posted February 15, 2009 My favorite meal item is the crabcakes. I love them so much, I usually get them as an appetizer. A close second, would be all the sugar free dessert choices. Carnival does a really good job of making sure that even the diabetics have a new and different dessert each night. I do wish they would add a sugar-free version of the warm chocolate melting cake. It does look wonderful :p. Hurry up August!!!!

Azure Moon Posted February 15, 2009 #105 Share Posted February 15, 2009 Salad: •garden salad (without dressing) with lemon wedges so I can squeeze the juice over the salad. Then either: •West Indian Pumpkin Soup •stuffed mushrooms •crab cakes Entree: I don't have a favorite in the main dining room. I try anything that has the least amount of sauce on it. Dessert: •Spa Carnival (diet) cake (orange, coconut, banana, or mango)

crusinpsychRN Posted February 16, 2009 #112 Share Posted February 16, 2009 I wonder why poster said oysters rockefeller don't usually have spinach. Every recipe I've seen they do. Still haven't been able to find out what ship had that.

tabster Posted March 5, 2009 #115 Share Posted March 5, 2009 Besides my normal favorites of stuff mushrooms, and french onion soup and any med rare piece of red meat, a pleasant surprise for me was the Beef Stroganoff! It was so creamy and yummy! I had never had it before and that is why I just love to try new dishes on cruises. So many wonderful things out there that I would never try at a land restaurant

SFCruisers Posted March 5, 2009 #117 Share Posted March 5, 2009 Prime rib and lobster on the same night, love surf and turf. On the Victory in Dec. they had the crab & lobster cakes as an appetizer, I could have made a meal out of them, very nice. I can't believe I haven't seen this, for dessert order a plate of fresh tropical fruit along with your chocolate melting cake, dip the fruit in the melting cake, think about that combo.
