CTtexas Posted February 4, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 4, 2009 We stayed in 8111 which is pretty close to the same location on the opposite side of the ship, on a caribbean cruise last Oct. Had no issues with noise from above- the pool bar was right overhead of us, but it closed fairly early ( 7PM or even earlier). The elevators were not too loud, and traffic was minimal in the AM until about 10. The VAs are nice size and had plenty of room to lounge on the balcony. Sorry- did not take pics. But the cabin layout on the web site is pretty much what we had.
drisinger Posted February 4, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted February 4, 2009 thank you~ do you recall if your balcony was clear/see through?
CTtexas Posted February 5, 2009 #4 Share Posted February 5, 2009 Balcony was clear plastic across the front with opaque dividers between cabins almost up to ceiling. The dividers between cabins could be removed, at least partially, if you have friends next door ( which we did) . You could hear someone talking on the balcony next door if you were sitting out there and they were talking loudly, or if we were in port. So be aware that privacy is a relative thing
sleepysnr Posted February 9, 2009 #5 Share Posted February 9, 2009 my sister and i shared a room similar to this 2 years ago. ever since then we have vowed to never get an inside room again. we had plenty of space on the balcony and in the room. you can hear what people are doing on the balcony next to you but that is expected. (your only a few feet apart, HELLO!!) haha, anyway, it was alot of fun when it port because u got to wave at people from the other ships who were on their balconies. have fun with it. do a little dance or make a sign.
