onthewater51 Posted February 5, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 5, 2009 Hi All, I posted this on another site but never received a reponse. I really would like to hear some feedback from that age group.... After a 1/2 dozen trips on RCI my wife & I decided to try Princess. We booked CB out of NY 06/20 to the Eastern Caribbean. My question is for the 20-something ladies & gents who have been on CB. We are bringing our two grown "kids", 21 & 23. They've been on RCI's Mariner which had much for them to do...do you think they might get bored on this ship? Thanks, Bob

Thanks, Bob I will be on this ship for the first time June 2nd with my boyfriend (we're 22 and 26). According to the cc roll call for this cruise there will be a lot of other 20-somethings on the ship. Check out the roll call for your cruise, it may be similar. :) We were on the carnival legend last year and had a great time. We were never bored! I'm sure there will be plenty to do for us 20-somethings on princess as well. They have the movies-under-the-stars, skywalkers nightclub, club fusion, the casino, etc. :D i can't wait to go! BoPippy Posted February 5, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 5, 2009 Do they get bored at home?I can't imagine being bored on a ship,on land or on any vacation..better food, entertainment, great weather, movies, shows, dancing, tropical drinks, exercise gym, games, warm weather, nice destinations,Just on holiday. If they aren't happy with any of this and more,i hate to see what would make them happy on a day to day life with ups and downs. If they wern't happy on a cruise,i doubt they would be happy in general.Don't worry,be happy, enjoy.:)

gunter8888 Posted February 5, 2009 #5 Share Posted February 5, 2009 We just returned from a 7-day Southern Caribbean cruise on the Caribbean Princess. There were 6 of us in our 30s (ranging from 33-39) and we found there was plenty to do on the ship. The clubs were good and most of the entertainment was good, too. Its a huge ship with lots of places to go and things to do.
yawalias Posted February 5, 2009 #6 Share Posted February 5, 2009 We're bringing our sons 24 & 27 and their girlfirends. I'm sure they will all find something to do!
Clutterlady Posted February 5, 2009 #7 Share Posted February 5, 2009 They should find plenty of people their own age, especially that time of year! We sailed the CB last May out of NY and there were a lot of younger people on that cruise:)
PrincessE Posted February 5, 2009 #8 Share Posted February 5, 2009 I'm no longer in my 20's (sigh), but when I WAS in my 20's sailing on Princess I loved it! I always found plenty to do and had a blast. Personally, I liked the Princess demographic better because I like to lay out in the sun and with the PCL demographic, there always seemed to be deck chairs available. Just something I observed. I've sailed on other lines and had to fight for the deck space because all the young people were outside. Just my two cents. :D
DiTomCruisers Posted February 5, 2009 #9 Share Posted February 5, 2009 Hi OTW51... I went on the CB with my daughters, SIL & a friend who were all in their early 20s, last year. They had a blast and always found stuff to do... They also did some of their own excursions after meeting up with folks on the cruise... They'll be fine and egging you on for another cruise before this one is through...
Sunmist Posted February 5, 2009 #10 Share Posted February 5, 2009 I'm 24 and I have had the most amazing time on all the Princess cruises I've been on...especially to the Caribbean. I always meet several other people my age and we all hang out together for the duration of the cruise. I still keep in touch with a lot of the friends I've made over the years! KrysyGT Posted February 5, 2009 #11 Share Posted February 5, 2009 It all depends when you go. But June should be a good time. My 4 girlfriends and I just got back from the CB on Sunday. We were 4 of the only 20 somethings on the ship... but we befriended a lot of crew and people older than us and wound up having a blast. Granted we weren't up at Skywalkers dancing everynight, but we still had a GREAT time. :)
NYY FaN Posted February 5, 2009 #12 Share Posted February 5, 2009 I went on the crown princess in '07 and there were a lot of people my age.. I even ran into some people I graduated HS with by some weird chance. I'm also going on the June 2nd cruise on the CP and by the roll call so far it seems to be about the same as before.. so yeah you'll be fine

billet Posted February 6, 2009 #16 Share Posted February 6, 2009 I took my 2 20 yo sons to Hawaii on the Island Princess. No real disco. No other passengers in their 20s. They teamed up with the Entertainment staff and has a ball. It was their first cruise and they are now addicted. So on a Caribbean cruise I cannot imagine how anyone could be bored.
