culebra Posted February 8, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 8, 2009 I just was on the website of American Canadian Caribbean Lines and found the following "specials" listed: http://www.accl-smallships.com/Specials.cfm They travel along the East Coast protected waterways from Maine to Florida, Rivers and Canals such as the Erie and St. Lawrence Seaways and the Great lakes. They also cruise on the Mississippi between New Orleans & Chicago. Looks like 2009 will be a good year for a cruise!
Rare LHT28 Posted February 11, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 11, 2009 I would not touch them... We did a cruise with them & the cabins on the lower deck are very noisy ..very basic cabins like going to an expensive CAMP. culebra Posted February 12, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted February 12, 2009 Thanks, read your review previously. However, we like the unique itinerary's and are used to cruising on our own boats so we are familiar with the small boat environment. Certainly, such vessels and cruises are not for everyone's tastes.

Stacky Posted March 12, 2009 #5 Share Posted March 12, 2009 We're signed on for the intercoastal waterways from Rhode Island to Florida in November. We're booked for the same cabin that we had to do a trip to Nova Scotia a few years ago. While it's not a luxury yacht, we found the accomodations to be quite satisfactory, the meals very good and the companionship of the small number of passengers quite to our liking. We've cruised on all types of vessels - from river barges to the luxury cruise ships - so we're not "greenies" in judging what we like. We booked this trip last July to ensure that we would get the same cabin and were informed at the beginning of 2009 that we had received a discount. A very nice late Christmas gift.
